Primary & Secondary English Conference 9 November 2018

The 2018 Primary and Secondary English Conference will be a day of professional learning which subject leaders, SLEs, senior leaders and head teachers cannot afford to miss! The day will be full of opportunities to consider pedagogy, focusing on subject knowledge and the ways in which children learn best. Delegates will work together to explore how to support children to make progress at all key stages.

We are excited to welcome two key note speakers; Alex Quigley, Senior Associate at the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), author and trainer and formerly Deputy Head (Curriculum) & Director of Teaching and Learning at Huntington School, York and Stephen Parsons, Speech and Language Therapist and author with a particular interest in vocabulary and classroom language, co-creator with Anna Brannigan of the ‘Word Aware’ programme and Chair of @NAPLIC. We will also be joined by Rebecca Cosgrave, Lead Primary English Adviser and author of ‘No Nonsense Spelling’, who will be delivering a workshop.
